Class 1

'‘Children in the early years get off to a good start in their learning. This is because the early years leader is an exceptional practitioner. She has ensured that the quality of teaching is good, and that activities are well matched to children’s needs.’’

Welcome to Class 1.

We believe that our play based learning environment can assist our children to develop life long learning skills that will stay with them well beyond their early years.

We nurture and support all of our children in Class 1 to ensure they grow into curious and confident young people.  We believe in the immense potential of each of our young learners and we are committed to giving them every opportunity to succeed. We recognise that everyone develops at their own pace and that given the right support and encouragement, every child will flourish.

Children are born curious and they are drawn to learning.  We build our curriculum around developing this disposition and allowing curiosity to develop deeper levels of understanding.  Parents are a huge part of this process; contributing to our knowledge of the children’s latest interests, achievements and experiences.

We love to have parents joining in with our activities and we invite them to all of our special events.  We aim to make Class 1 feel like a part of the family.

Every child is unique and we take time to get to know our children well. The children are amazing and we base our relationships on trust and mutual respect.  This helps our children to feel safe and secure, loved and important.

We always encourage our children to have a go at something they find a little difficult, which helps to strengthen their resilience.   As it is this resilience which will enable them to reach for the stars and achieve their dreams.
