A welcome from your Governors
Welcome to the Governors' pages of Seton Community Primary School's website.
My name is Colin Harrison and I am the current Chair of the Governing Body. I have served on the governing body since 2009 and I became Chair in 2018.
Working with the Head Teacher and staff at Seton School, all governors have a legal responsibility to ensure the effective management of the school.
Governors help to decide school policy and share responsibility for the management of the school. They advise, support and challenge the headteacher and staff, working with the school to meet the needs of the children, whilst ensuring that the school provides good value for money. Governors help the headteacher in the selection of staff and act as a link between the school and the community.
We currently have two vacancies for co-opted governors. Further information follows below. We are always interested to hear from anyone who would like to join us and encourage you to express your interest through the school office.
If you would like to contact a governor, this can be done through the school office. Letters marked for the attention of a governor will be passed on in confidence.
